chanmin: have you ever compared your dissected 5150 combo-head to the regular 5150 heads? ive heard the combo version to be voiced hotter, not in a good way.


Well ... never tried the 5150 head. Only tried the combos... any way the combo is 60 watts alot more usable compared to 100 watts in my case.

Yeah... That I do agree. My TS sounds excellent with it but the ZW OD just splatters. Need to get the correct pedal. Actually I'm gonna try it with your boosty this weekend. :lol:

mine undergoing retubing this week i think..i let randolf decide la.. i dont really care about "branded tubes" anymore..as long as they work. the JJ tubes i ordered got problem ... screw internet HYPE.

thor666: celestion v30. might swap it out for a blackshadow, or hellatones. seems to harsh in this particular combo.

I used JJ ECC83 S 12AX7 tubes for 2 years nothing happened lei. Mine was balanced triode as I ran 2 of them(I also specified what amp I was using). Now I've just got the ECC 803 S Gold Pin 12AX7 tubes which I have not installed yet..
