sorry for the late reply,been horribly busy.

the recto pre is absolutely crushing when paired with the right power amp/cab especially at high volume. its not great with my power amps, but run into the EFX loop of one of the peavey combos (tube power section), its great. for direct recording, its alright, much more organic than modellers, but nothing really beats a mic'd up cab la.

i prefer the triaxis LD2 red over LD1 somehow..its capable of getting pretty saturated but has way too much midrange for my taste. with an EQ in the loop its great though..thats the basis for most of the guitar sounds on the meza virs album.

the rockmaster on the other hand absolutely KILLS. its like a 5150 on crack, and way more versatile. great clean (comparable to the triaxis), one of the best crunch tones i've ever heard, and the ultra gain channel is amazing. its modded by FJA for higher gain so its pretty over the top. my go-to preamp now for recording.
