what? why engl? i loved the tones from the rivera and peavy 5150, really unique stuff. but the bomb was the egnator!! super unique. but amp noob here hahaha

Srsly...the Bogners rule 'in the band mix' and the vintage Marshalls with modz smokes all of em....imo !

In order of preference:

1) Marshall Super Trem
2) Friedman Marsha / Jose modded Marshall (can't decide, tied for 2nd place :) )
3) Bogner XTC (slightly different vibe from the above 2, more modern, fatter low mids but sits nicely in the mix, as Goose mentioned)

Seriously one of the best amp shootout clips i have ever heard....

Btw they missed a few amps ...eg Hughes & Kettner ...

yeahh man after reading.. i forgot who's review on the hughes and kettner triamp i've wanted to hear it better.
goose, i think i do identify some tones here that sounds super similar to those on my 7th! from bogners..

kudos to the guys who spent time making the clips. Gives many a chance to really know how the amps sound like. The 5150 is growing on me..

I've to agree to modded marshall esp the splawn modded version sounds amazing to me. It just comes to life~

I love the orange rocker 30 too~ awesome tone!

Egnater Mod 100 is not bad too, very flexible~

Thanks goose for the link.. how i wish they've done a Marshall Vintage Modern..
