heh, taylorboy, i like the way you put it, although rude, but true in someway...
hey trip, the period of getting used to it, takes time, according to different people. It can be like trying to finger barre chord. Some take few days, some take weeks to months till learning to play a song with plenty of barre chord and everything seem to be easier then plain practising of it not in a song context.
Just imho, if you want to train finger, let the action remained, play the guitar normally, dont forced or over play to get used to it. Sometime, the more you struggle with the instrument, the less efficient is the result and you will get frustrated and nothing get done in the end.
Playing will suffer initially as you will have to build up the finger strength, re adjustment of fingering to suit the higher action etc. Its normal. DOnt have to rush or play till the finger is too numb to feel the pain. Some pain is necessary, but not untill you cant even enjoy playing the instrument..
Again, this will take time, from weeks to months. Dont have to rush.
heh, and if you dont want the above, you can adjust back the action to previously, continue to play and learn. There is nothing wrong in this also. Its just your preference of play and no one shud take that away from you. Afterall, its your preference and you playing the guitar, not me or anyone else playing it.
Ok, wrote too much. Imho. Dont take it too seriously or believe everything, just read and think in your own way how you want to interpret. If it sounds dumb, so be it. If theres something usefull out of it, can take it and go on from there, in your own thinking..
