Hey everyone, Im new here.

I'll be in Singapore from the 19th to the 22th, and Im going to be there to buy a tube amp. My budget would be $1000. Any suggestions of amps that are available at that price range in Singapore? Thanks a lot .

Vox amps are not bad, from what I heard. Always wanted to get one, but never got the cash. The epiphone valves are also not bad, you gotta try them out for yourself, and hear what you like.

You can call SL up to check for their VJ prices..
I think, if you total up the head and cab, the cost would be about $800, without subtracting the normal 20% discount..

I would skip the VJ and go straight to a Fender Blues Junior or Pro Junior.

It's a no frills little tube head.
I'm more interested in the blackheart BH5H, but I'll have to wait till end Jan before my sis can bring it over when she return from the States. Maybe I'll get it then, and decide what to do with the VJ.
BTW 5W with a 212 is loud for playing at home, and can't crank up for the tube distortion. Any solution to this?

Have you tried Mesa Boogie Express 5:25? Great distortion with decent speaker at 5W or 25W.
