hey..survey again..hottest trend in singapore..music wise

with everything mixing with everything else, it's draining to distinguish the subs from the subs.

i don't know, perhaps i'm lazy - i see them as majorly as groove and non-groove oriented. there's classical of course.

hmm.

I tend to oppose this Emoemo and punk punk music stuff. Know why? It seems like the majority of them are known for their looks, not skills. Thats 1. Their music is very majorly amatuerish (most of it, anyway), yet they receive so much credit for it, 2. And the last reason I have, is that many ppl are into this Emo 'cult' and it seems that people are MANUFACTURED. All the same.

Well these are my views. Sorry if I'm being too direct. Its meant to state my view, not offend.

btw...what bands are emopunk?gimme examples? i dun mind emo, esp stuff by sunny day real estate and the gloria record

anw the trend on mainstream media is the new wave punk thing frm the 80s with bands with like the killers, bravery etc revisitng stuff by the original 80s bands like blondie, new order, depeche mode.

before that was the emo-pop punk thing and before that was nu metal and post grunge thing

so what does the future holds? beats me but lets just keep our ears n minds open

we donoe wad d future of music industri holdz.

I prefer to think of emo as punkrock but more towardz soothin n depressin(emotional)tones.emopunk iz d kind of emo music.

emo bands-the get up kids, daphne loves derby, straylight run, brand new..

i think gay-porn-electronic-rock is the next 'in' thing...

god protect our children from MTV...

....and church

what's that supposed to mean?

i think this punk rock emo stuff will stay for sometime...

and some of these music from the uprising bands like bravery r moving further and further away from rock music that i always loved. I feel that my ears will repel more and more of these new music. and like its bout looks too.

metal shld stay underground. But having a big fest like "ozzfest" is cool, perhaps some kinda underground event.

seeing the trends now, i think reggae and emo are quite popular...

other than that ,one thing i realise, depressional music are getting popular... cause u see lah, simple plan, the untitled song ... then green day, "boulevard of..." , "....when september end" ... not that i like the songs, but something is seriously wrong with the mainstream market nowadays...

me am not fan personally of the emo or pop(punk) rocks. But ya, where am the happy rock? Me liked rock n rolls, now lalio not play rock n roll, last timing had them AC/DC, they are hard rocks, but happy lyric, eat the drug, spend many money....and happy...now lyric only sad or angery.

Music are universal.. Different people different taste in music.. Yah some people like metal and some people like techno.. Well.. It's their choices of music.. U can't expect them to play music that they don't enjoy.. People play music that they themselves enjoy and not some other people forcing them to play.. To you all.. You may hate popular punk rock and emo bands but do you think of becoming popular too.. Hell Yeah.. Bands like Green Day and Blink 182 have been into the music scene for so long because they believe in no pain no gain.. Bands and bands should respect each other even they are in different genres.. It's like respecting each other races and religion..

Overall.. I think people should think before they act and not following their feelings without using their brains..

Well.. End of statement.. :D :D
