I need help now~ veri urgent! can some 1 help mi? i am changing strings on my LP but now all the strings are touching the fretboard! can some 1 PM mi his number so i can call?? REalli need help!!!

what gauge of strings are you using? did you change from a lower gauge to a higher gauge?

If you did, you'll probably need to adjust the action, on a Les Paul you have to raise the TOM bridge, there are 2 big screws by either side of the bridge, use a screwdriver and turn it to raise the bridge. I forgot which direction makes it rise though.

which 1 is tat ??? the 1 nearer to the pup? Wat should i do first? take out all the strings firsT?

Sorri... never change b4

Adjust the two thumbscrews by the side

ya it'll be affected a little, but i still dunno how he got the problem, whether it was because he took all the strings out and the bridge shifted, or he switched to a higher gauge, etc etc etc. If it's because the bridge shifted or he accidentally lowered it, the intonation shouldn't be affected much i think

string up 1st, but loosen the tension alittle , once u adjusted to the appropriate action(for me the appropriate height would be when u can see 3 lines on the screws), you can tighten the tension.

WOOW... HOLD your horses on the truss rod thingie...

itzme, you are right to say about the truss rod adjustments... don't get me wrong. :)

BUT, from the looks of it darkrhino may not be that experience a tech person on the guitar?

So try not to adjust the truss rod. It can lead to disasters if you don't really know how to go about it.

lol...imagine telling a newbie to turn the trussrod.

Hahha!!! Don't worry about tat~ I done tat b4 and i know how to do it.. Once had a Ibanez TCM50 also had a trussrod. But i only knew tat was for turning caz the fretboard wap. Didn't know it could solve buzzing.

Sometimes we do need to take the plunge and twiddle with stuff (truss rod), otherwise we'll never be proficient at anything. Of course, always do ample research before attempting any damn thing la.
