hi guys, i was using the guitar gloss polish the black bottle that i bought from davis to polish the hardware on my guitar and pedal, however i did it at night n i fell asleep without wiping off the white polish that i applied on my hardware, so the nx mrn when i wipe it off, i saw some white stains that was on the silver hardware that could not be removed, can anyone advise on this? is there any way i can get rid of the white stain on my silver hardware? thanks alot in advance

Hmm, i'm guessing its the dunlop guitar polish?
I'm not sure if those are meant for hardware. mainly for wood.
You can try using IPA. It does help remove stains and what not to a certain extent on electronics and metals.
BUT
DO NOT LEAVE THEM OVERNIGHT!

IPA = ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL
There are some shops in the jalan besar area who might carry these. Mainly hardware shops.
If you manage to find it, DO NOT use it on the body of the guitar. it's meant for electronics. I'm not sure what it might do to wood. Best not to find out
