Help with hi hat!

hi need help
ydae just bought a 2nd hand drumset
was fine till today while i was play

ok this is how it looked yesterday.
u noe the round thang with the screw? when i unscrew it abit
i can adjust the upper hi hat up and down .

okay so today i was using it then when i stop i realise i cannot
press my pedal down la

and this is what happen to it, the whole thing came off?!
i dun get it , issit spoilt or what?
do i need to change the whole thing or just the stand thing
i can no longer adjust my upper hi hat.

Hey bro,

remove the entire clutch (that's the thing that you adjusted on top of your hihat), remove the TOP HIHAT CYMBAL.

There should something that came loose. That's the bottom end of the hihat clutch.

Place the top hihat back into the clutch and attach the bottom end of the clutch. tighten it well, but don't overtighten it.

Voila, should be done!

If you clutch keeps coming loose, head down to Rankin and get a cheap (but good) clutch for below $10.

Hey,

I had a clutch like that on one of my old practice kits. You really want to go and buy a better clutch, otherwise it's going to keep slipping off and really annoying you.
Won't cost much and it'll make your hats so much better

Oh sorry then haha... stereotypical view that most drummers are guys

Anyway, I'd strongly recommend that you get a new hihat clutch, seeing how your current one looks a little flimsy. As you progress and get new hats that will weigh more, your clutch will probably not hold up, along with a host of other problems.

From the looks of the hi-hat, you bought the Peace Legion series drum kit? Yup, you may want to buy a 'standard' hi-hat stand. Why 'standard' 'cos the rod's diameter is smaller than the usual ones sold and which means the present clutch cannot fit into other standard hi-hat rods.
