HELP : Transformers

Hi. i got an amplifier (guitar) from the US which is 120V. How do i work it and change it to 240V ? People say i need transformers but which types? step up or down?

Please help and please tell me where i can buy such devices.

Ok you'll need a step-down transformer dude...in this case i dont think its possible to "change it to 240V" like you mentioned in your post.
You'll need the T/F to step-down our 240V mains to 110-120V in order for the amp to be operational.
