Help: Sound Recording Equipment & Software

Hi guys!

I am an acoustic guitarist who like record my playing while singing to improve further with the feedback.

Appreciate if anyone could recommend me good software and hardware setups for recording on a PC laptop while at home. Heard about Toneport but not sure it records both vocal and guitar at the same time.

Also need recommendation for a quality mobile sound recording device which could record down down some songs played during my guitar lessons. Heard Olympus is a good brand for such devices. What do you think?

Why not you get a 2x2 I/O kind of interface with preamps? Then you can use mics to pickup your vox and guitar at the same time. I don't think the 1/4" jack on an acoustic guitar makes for nice recordings...
