anyone here knows how to help me on it? thanks!

wikipedia...

Wiki isn't officially sanctioned by a lot of educational institutions, so gotta be careful when you use and cite infomation from wiki. Use the links at the bottom of the wiki page and cite from there to avoid any unneeded problems from school ;)

One name you need to know when it comes to this: Gene Krupa.

Gene Krupa is widely credited as the first guy to play tom toms and bass drum together, and elevating the drums as a solo instrument. Also for the development of the hi-hat, otherwise we'd all be still playing with a bass drum, snare and "low boy" still.

The PAS online museum has some cool stuff.

Wiki can be a good starting point to find out more information, and what books to read, but I wouldn't rely on what is provided there unless I read it for myself in a published book.

=alvyn

thats what i meant. most of their articles can be treated as a story-reading session. the real deal is the links they provide.

Yep I know what you meant just wanted to let the TS know just in case he wasn't aware ah. My friend got into trouble for using information from wiki (moron copied and pasted one whole paragraph, kena 0 for plagiarism).

Anyway, that is quite a cool set. The snare looks vintage and playable.. any idea on its specs?

what! he got 0 for plagiarism!!?!? omg this is bad...

gene krupa! wow.. when was this dated? as in when did he first start using it? was it in the 1900s or 1800s? thanks alot for everything man. i didnt really use wiki this time around. cos in wiki, its generally talking more about drum products, remo, tama etc..

well from what i see, the only thing that has stayed the same in the whole evolution of drumsets are the cymbals, still made the same away and sound e same

Got a straight 0, and his case was referred to the Ethics committee... almost got his ass expelled from uni, but they kinda gave him a 2nd chance seeing how he's a 1st yr student. Very stupid lah.

to TS: the snare has remained the same, as well as the bass drum. hihats were around for awhile, but they were termed something else... it slipped my mind now but its a very different name from what it is now.
