Help on push pull pot

I ordered brand new set of pickups along with a push pull pot coz I read that 1 can do a mid-neck, mid-bridge, neck-brigde and even activate all combo. Problem is I'm a noob in guitar hardware stuff and not sure how to do the wiring. Any idea where I can get help? Like installation diagram or something?

hmm... only 1 push pull? that can't do much.. to activate all combos (i.e. series, parallel, out of phase, coil tap, coil shunt..etc) u would want all 4 pots to be push pull.. but its best to google first and see if that is what you need..

www.guitarelectronics.com has good wiring diagrams... actually, too many wiring diagrams.

And yes, what imcorn says is true... best to find out if you need/like that sound first... However, experience is the only true test in this case, IMO, but it helps to figure out as much as possible first...

4? damn..I have only the volume and tone knob.. so I should get at least 1 more for the tone too?

Uh.
Dood. Your guitar has a H S S config correct?
It should come with a 5-way for:

1: neck single
2: neck + mid in paralell
3: middle
4: middle + inner coil of bridge humbucker in parallel
5: Bridge humbucker

Correct?

If so.

You already have your mid-neck & mid-bridge sorted out.

If you really want neck-bridge, get a push pull to turn on neck pup, so.. with neck on pushpull activated, you get:

1: neck single
2: neck + mid in parallel
3: middle + neck
4: middle + inner coil of bridge humbucker in parallel + neck
5: Bridge humbucker + neck

Anyway. I tell you. That you can look around you... at all the wiring diagrams.. the most common ones are tried and proven, WORKS for MOST people... some dolts like me, need weird wiring because of circumstances, like for a studio/recording guitar and you only have 1, you might want to have loads of switching options to get as many tones as possible from 1 guitar... but its not the rule of thumb.

oh I get the picture...hmm..question, my selector is the up-down type so the the "lobang" on the guitar is thin and long, how to install the push pull pot then? I think I really need a pro to do my guitar.

pushpull pot takes the place of 1 pot.

You retain the original function of the pot with the addition of being able to pull it up to switch stuff.

Just noticed.. With the push pull pot I loose the sound of the middle only and bridge only sound. That's not really good.

Well, like what I mentioned, it has the ability to switch.

You can toggle... between having neck pup on or off. Off as in normal switching function.
