Hello i was wondering where can you recommend me changing pick-ups for strat copy to original fender pick-ups and les paul copy to original gibson pick-ups and how much? does installation take long or can you do it yourself?

Thanks

Go Swee Lee for fender and gibson stuffs. Go to the showroom at bras basah. If you know how to change then u change yourself. if not, ask the shop to install it for you. U will have to play installation fees though.
Fender noiseless pickup costs like $200.
Fender lace sensors pickups costs $220 PER PICKUP.
Not sure about gibson..

That is certainly quite an investment. (O_O;)
Are they any good for what they do/or do not?

fender lace sensors are good. =) the only problem is swee lee doesnt have it in stock and have to order from fender if u wanna buy. so the cost is ridiculous. LACE sensor (without the fender) is cheaper actually. i dunno why is this so

^^^ up your points. The guitar itself affects the tone more than the pickups IMHO. 2 guitars of the same model can sound different. Believe, i've tried.

yes of course... amplifiers. i just get bummed out during gigs. you'll never know what amp is present.

Just to add my 2 cents...
Although getting a Fender/Gibson may be more worth it, i think the market has improved considerably and there are more choices. THey may sound similar to the Fender/Gibson products at half the price. Why? IMHO i think Fender/Gibson are brand names that have a long history, thus the price.
I think that Suhr pups are just as good, if not better. I've also heard of many people changing Fender pups to Suhr ones. That's jsut my opinion though.
Cheers...
