Help needed for Cubase sequencing

I need to connect my guitar efx pedal to cubase. Cubase will be programmed to sequence a whammy effect. I jus don't know how to use cubase. Well basically i'm looking to get this effect;
YouTube - Muse - Map of the problematique (full) on guitar

I've asked the dude how exactly he did it, and this is what he said:

cheers, the sequencing was just using a midi track controlling a midi CC number, i think it was midi CC11 for the pod xtl (that is the tweak parameter on the pedal). you need to connect the pod to a laptop/pc via midi and set stomp to the bender mode.

you could use a digitech whammy, which would sound better (pod's bender isnt so good for tracking) but i didnt have one.

then basically you have to sync up the song to cubase's internal tempo (i think the song is 125/130ish bpm) and go about tracking the midi numbers for the pitch bends... MIDI 0 is -2 octaves, MIDI 63 is -1 octave and MIDI 127 is 0 octaves... and just draw in the pattern using your ears to help you... then i just recorded the output of the pod into my computer using a mixer.

So my question is, how do i sequence the midi tracks for the pitch bends? Thanks in advance.

You can go into the "Event" editor and basically insert the pitch bend controller.

Not specific to Cubase.

1:01:00 - #Controller Pitch Bend - 0
1:02:00 - #Controller Pitch Bend - 127
1:03:00 - #Controller Pitch Bend - 0
1:04:00 - #Controller Pitch Bend - 64
2:01:00 - #Controller Pitch Bend - 127
1:02:00 - #Controller Pitch Bend - 0

Depending on your efx board, 0 = 0 pitch bend, 64 = half bend, 127 = full bend.
