Hey everyone! my name is Christiane Mikaela, and I'm a local musician/singer/originals-writer in Singapore. I'm on a tight deadline to get more people (especially musicians, we are a hard-to-find breed) for a study that I am conducting for my psychology thesis by 19th May 2015! Please please help a fellow musician out. The study is actually quite interesting - about a new type of music called "personal motivational music" that hasn't been studied before.

AN EXPLORATORY STUDY ON PERSONAL MOTIVATIONAL MUSIC
You are invited to take part in an online research study that explores a particular type of personal music and the well-being of individuals who listen to such music. The study is conducted by Christiane Mikaela Wong and will contribute to her thesis as part of her fulfilment of the Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) at James Cook University. The Human Research Ethics Committee at James Cook University Australia has approved this project.
DETAILS
In this study, you will be invited to complete an online questionnaire, which asks you some questions about your mood and general well-being, such as “I feel excited” and “I can usually handle whatever comes my way”. You will also be asked to share your thoughts on music, such as “Before I do an activity (e.g., exercise, study), I usually carefully consider what music to play along with it”. You will also be asked to comment on any musical abilities you may have (e.g., years of practice, instruments played).
CRITERIA: Aged 18yrs and above, living in Singapore
DURATION: 10 minutes

PARTICIPANTS’ RIGHTS AND CONFIDENTIALITY
Taking part in this study is completely voluntary and you may withdraw from the study at any time without explanation or prejudice. This study is unlikely to cause any distress. Only the principle investigator and supervisor of this study have access to the data. Your responses will be kept strictly confidential, and you will remain completely anonymous. The data and information obtained will be used in the investigator’s thesis and future research publications. You will not be identified in any way in these publications.
