Help my mxr pedal

Hi, I have a MXR Micro amp pedal. I tried installing a battery in it today but it would not power up. I tested it with several batteries but the result was the same. When I tried it with a 9v adaptor however, it worked perfectly. Any idea whats the problem?

most prob one of the battery clip wires' connection a bit faulty,, best is to desolder both and resolder agn

Might be 1 of the wire from the batt clip be broken?

oh sorry for hijacking but im interested to know where did u get ur MXR microamp for?im also gassing for one recently..

sorry to hijack.. but u shld look out for the new boost pedal from MXR.. seems 8) -er than the microamp

erm if it's faulty you should try sending it back to sweelee first.

haha.. actually i dun own the pedal.. it isn't even out in the states yet.. shld be out soon in abt 1 - 2wks time.. not sure abt sound.. but it looks 8) and only costs US$99 (abt S$165).
