Help me to improvise on jazz playing

Hey man

dont take this the wrong way, but that isnt jazz at all.... neither is playing penatonic phrases over a jazzy backing track considered jazz.

I'm only saying this because your title states "how to improvise on jazz playing"...

that being said in terms of tips, i think you can try and target the changes of the backing track ie figure out the chords for the backing track if its not provided and learn the different scales/arppegios over the chords.

for a simple way of making yourself sound more sophisticated: play the minor pentatonic scale one whole step away from what you were doing in the video ie play Bm pentatonic over Am, this creates the dorian mode sound

Ohhh.. ok bro. it seems u asked for it. he he he... I m not a pure jazz player but I can output with my certain opinion here.
Yo bro try not to continue with ur art in Am 1,3,5 that A,C,E.

Here we go >>> use outside scale>>> 3,5,7,9 voicing >>> flat 5th>>> this is simple art. not to sound pure blues pentatonic.
Change ur art of playing. listen to more modern jazz fusion backing track or whatever u like.remember always end your note avoid root. use 3,5,7,9 add flat 5th.

Hopefully u gonna improve to certain. he he he. apology if any of my words offence u bro. Enjoy.

Drop the spectacles. Drop the attitude. Learn your scales. Be humble.
