help! i'm having stage fright!

Eh actually i havent perform in any gig before.. but i use to be in plays in sch.. jus try to strunk your eyes and make it as if u are concentrating hard.. and as u strink your eyes.. you wont get to see the audience clearly.. Or choose something and stare at it and rmb to SMILE =D

i remember an interview...slash says he has this inferior complexity..that is the reason with the hair and top hat.

relac ah brudder, just play, i at first also scared, scared until come to solo then stop, cos too scared then affected my playing. After that, never got scared again...participate in guitar solo comp, only me on stage, played with band, everything, just feel no pressure, ppl are just watching, nothing more! Plus i love the cheering i get, and i can only enjoy it when i am no scared. all the best to you!

yeah.. i played in a solo guitar comp as well once, first few minutes.. got this nerve system overload..lol .. 2 marshall full stacks behind you.. and thats it.. on the stage, alone, with a fender strat.. and hundreds of spotlights on you.. jamie yeo standing by the stage... 4 judges looking on every single move you do.. and shitload of people.. it was a packed place. i just went with the crowd .. but usually i would focus on a group of people or one guy.. for that day.. i did focused and communicate with one guy when i was playing.. he gave me gestures and hints.. and i would respond to it playing wise(i was improvising that day so doesnt matter what the heck i played). it works.. at normal gigs, my eyes would be on my buddies or some hot chick in the crowd.. thats all lol..

dunno how you would handle if one of the spectator were to pick on you..
i would just do this :keep cool, concentrate on the song and just move away..if ur playing in a metal band...u can flash ur middle finger to him...haha
