You'll need his vintage marshall mk2 heads, which are impossible to find in the market now.
I dont think dhalif's tone sounds like malmsteen at all.... I mean he's a great player and all but im hell sure he wouldnt want to be called a malmsteen clone, cos he has his own unique sound.
Well i wouldnt mind shelling out for a vintage MK2 if i had the cash....cos its still cheaper than an original Trainwreck Express, my dream amp....
Thnks for the replies!! I was looking at the pickups side...i'm thinking of Evo for the bridge,a YJM fot the middle and an evo for the neck...is this a good pickup combination?
I've to agree with you that dhalif does have his own tone. watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ToK_0KH_NBs
A mixture of JP, YGM and AT. nice!
So at the end of the day....its the tone YOU LIKE that matters rather than trying to emulate somebody else.
yup and i believe the ts likes malmsteens tone. i always chase my idols tone actually.. though i know i will nvr ever be able to get close to his tone even if i had all the money in the world, its nice to know i'm somewhere close and sometimes it gives u that feeling that i cant really describe.
i honestly dont see a problem with chasing someones tone. if you like it why not? thats why i get a little offended when ppl tell me GET YOUR OWN TONE dont copy others.
