There's no strings on the guitar, thus the tension from the truss rod has no counter tension from the strings. Therefore, there will be a slight backward bow on the neck sans strings in tune.

Besides, the neck is supposed to fall away backwards on an LP slightly possibly due to the high of the string saddles and scale length. More so that say a strat or tele.

@redhat...its normal that LP's neck has pitch angle :)
if its dead flat neck ... u cant play it ... if u r using ur Tune O Matic:)

looks like you're kinda fresh with the LP? 8-)

the LP's neck is set into the body at a pitched setting to complement the tune-o-matic bridge's alleviation, it's akin to how the average violin is put together. it's perfectly normal, no worries...

thanks to all for help

yup, i am new to les paul, more of an ibanez user, its a huge contrast but still i bought a les paul to challenge myself although it has a thicker neck profile n is heavier but i still like playing on it, thanks to all for reply and my worries are gone, happily playing on it again, cheers :D

ditto- i'm basically an ibanez fan but i own Fender/ Gibson/ etc just for a contrast in playing feel & challenging myself to adapt to the tool. the bottom line is, if one can play guitar, it doesn't matter which guitar 8-)

I heard that if you dont put support at the bottom of your fretboard,it will wrap downwards.I advise you to get yourself a hard case gig bag to support the bottom of your neck or put a pillow on the bottom of the neck.Hope that this has help

only if you constantly lay your LP on the floor, then the neck support mechanism (see pic) is necessary. otherwise, rest your guitar on a stand.
