Hi, So I just got a Rode NT-1A condenser mic and a Yamaha audiogram 6.
I'm sure I fixed everything up correctly... but when i start recording... nothing gets picked up (flat line) and no sound comes out of my speakers (or any sound at all even from youtube).. What's wrong?

Here's what I did:
1.Connect one end of the XLR cable to the mic, and the other end to the audiogram 6.
2.Audiogram 6 connect to laptop via the USB.
3. Audiogram is powered up, phantom power is turned on for the mic.

What else am I missing? I thought all the mic needs is phantom power to work?
The audiogram 6 has a built in preamp.. My speakers are plugged to my laptop.. Do I need to plug my speakers somewhere else? Like on the audiogram 6?

Someone help?

You should connect the Output of the Audiogram 6 to your speakers.

Does the LED light up when you speak into the microphone? This is to make sure there is signal coming out from the mixer.

You can monitor with a headphones to troubleshoot.
