havent done it yet.my guitar wont be back till sunday.then again,i may not try it then cuz ive got a performance on tuesday.but ive the .052 gauge strings all waitin and all.after tuesday's performance im gonna try it again.im pretty sure it'll work out right.cuz i THINK i know the prob.firstly,i tried tightening the trem springs WHEN the strings were still on and TIGHT.secondly i did not change the strings one by one in the sense that i replaced the strings one by one all right,BUT i didnt tune them first before moving to loosen and replace the other string.

System, there's nothing wrong with tightening the trem springs with tight strings.

hey ppl!guess wat?i couldnt wait till after my performance on tuesday to try and tune the heavy .12 strings again cuz the song im playin can still be played on drop Ab just need to move up by two frets or so.so i did it very slowly and allowed proper time for every string to adjust before replacin the other string and hell its worki fine now!in fact,my trem isnt stickin up,its pointing downwards slightly now!hahaha this goes to show that my guitar can handle the .12 ok maybe even heavier!thanks for the advice guys!im now chuggin some heavy Drop Ab chords!whoo!
