Just a quick heads up for those in the east who're looking for effects, in case you are not aware of it - I dropped in to Yamaha music at Tampines mall and saw almost the whole range of Electro harmonix pedals, including some tube OD's, big muff pi's etc, Digitech pedals, etc. It's in the display case at the entrance.

Nope, I just picked up some XL strings from there, spotted the EHX/Digitech while walking out. Got enough pedals already :p

Ah... another SOFTie living in the east? :)

Yamaha Tampines has some nice efx... MXR pedals are there, as well as Boss.

Friendly staff too...

Yeah man, you remember I took your advice when wiring up my strat with 3 humbuckers? We chatted over the phone.

does your guitar worx ???

where got such thing as enough pedals !!

Hmm... why not? Sounds great. I simply wired the two HB coils in series for all 3 pickups, no coil tap etc. Very simple really, just like putting single coil pickups. One of these days I'll get push pull DPDT pots and enable coil split for more versatility... been telling myself I should do that for the past 6 months, but I'm lazy :)

Well the heavier my pedal bag gets, the harder I'll get hurt when my wife snaps and beats me over the head with it.

Anyway... back to topic... pedals at Yamaha.

Not very difficult if you're ok with a bit of soldering.

First, I went here to choose my pickup:
http://www.seymourduncan.com/products/strats.shtml

Then I went through the tutorials here:
http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/how_to_install_a_pu.shtml
http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/faq.shtml

And look at the wiring schematics here (quite simple really)
