Having the giggles on stage?

Any softies here ever had the giggles on stage?

I was reminiscing with a friend the other day and talking about this song “Besame Mucho” (he had recorded this track on his Latin album some time back).

I remember once when I was performing in a “not so swanky” country club (you know – the type where the members all cheapo and show off but try to act damm high & mighty & damm demanding type but actually all normal income jokers).

The crows consisted mainly of ballroom dances. They demanded cha-cha, rumba, tango, foxtrot, French waltzes etc… One day they requested Besame Mucho.

I was playing piano with a 4 pc band for this 6 ngts a week slot. The band tot – “Lets just whack this tune” so we played it. However we played in a high key (Am – high for guys) and I sang it with much gusto & feeling (I was messing about) like some Spanish bull fighter … my guys started giggling … soon I was giggling too…before U know it the whole band was in stitches on stages. but we continued to play (I ducked under my piano laughing) and got strange looks from the dancing crowd … It was sooooo hilarious
That seasoned musos couldn’t contain our giggles on stage during a performance.

Any other softies had this kind of experience before?

get glasses,

well i've yet to experience that. maybe soon
a fellow band friends of mine did went through an ordeal like that.

basically my fellow drummer friend was watching the TV while playing.
unfortunately there was something funny on TV and he laughed,
strangely his hands kind drum rolled automatically to a finished.

the rest of the band members just stopped in shocked.
guess what he was still laughing at watching tv, oblivious to his surrounding.
till the guitarist threw a bottle at him.

i giggled while singing during my first show and i forgot my lyrics. HAHAHA
those who noticed started giggling to and it became a giggling affair ;)

i had an experienc once back then my drummer scolded the sound guy cause the monitor beside him was only abit the too noisy and the monitor was giving out sounds from his drums and not the other instruments.

quite a funny experience, laughed quite alot on the stage when he scolded the sound dood.hahahaha.good times.
