To the pianist, organist and others like keyboardist;

im a bassist who is looking for a cheap 1st hand or a 2nd hand or even a keyboard which have a tone of the legendary Jon Lord and John Paul Jones. Can anyone help me to where can i get and how much is the cost? Pls help, and thx for helping..

Sorry...also a little late in replying this thread...

There are a few options to getting the real Hammond. Besides the sound, there are a few things about the Hammond that you also need to consider - the touch (waterfall keys) and drawbars.

1. As suggested by ATW10C, controller with a B3 emulation VST (lots of them out there). Most controllers has faders but they are not drawbars and doesn't feel like one. Those that come with it (like Doepfer) are not cheap.
2. Get a keyboard with Hammond sound. Most digital/stage pianos would have it since the B3 is a standard bread-and-butter sound in keyboards.
3. Get a module if you don't want go the VST/notebook way. The Roland VK-8M, for example, is a good choice.

elkamusic Singapore-money fraud!!!

Hi all, over 5 month ago we've transferred $1800 australian dollars from Sydney to Mr Chew (elkamusic ph. 93681864) with intention to purchase the Hammond XK3c from them, today is 13 October 2009 we got -nothing! He never answers the phone anymore, sending back blank emails, no communication at all.
Be aware that Hammond dealer in Singapore is a thief!! International money scammer!! If anyone ever had any experience with elkamusic let us know for the legal action.Thanks Vlad.
