Hammering cymbals

it was like damn explosive cymbal. doesn't really cut through alot. but when played on its own. or for an accent. WOAH IT WAS FANTASTIC.

dont fret mate... there are local shops which does welding... anyways, if it was a good cymbal, why go bash it with some ol hammers??

Sorry for the lag... i don't know why but whenever i load my drum files on youtube the audio video always lags.

i'm trying to scout around for more carlos stock cymbals
mel80 told me that nigel at drum resource has a few awhile back..
i'm gona check today if he still does have them.

the stagestar cymbals are really thin right... no good to hammer... later hammer and crack
I LOVE MY CARLOS 16"... too bad its cracking!

i know it isn't exactly cymbal hammering but i remember seeing a pic of a pair of hi hats with round pieces of metal on them. kinda like riveted on. can someone explain what are those, the after effects and how to go about doing them?

haha managed to find the exact pic. actually i was talking abt this..

whats the diff between this and the cymbal stack?

It is a different method but the principle is the same... the stack is the sizzling of two cymbals... while the hihats from the said photo has 4 pairs of jingles sizzling when played... both are considered effects cymbals... 8)

hey guys, i recently bought a 10" lazer splash.
I've converted it to a CHINA splash! Wooohooo!!

Btw, i've figured that my 16" carlos ain't gona last. so i've focused my hammering on my 18" crash/ride
I polished the cymbal, but left the bell... has a HHXplosion crash look HAHA.
