Guthrie Govan, IA, Bbf, Ben Litchman & Nick Sterling vid

Oh... Get the latest QuickTime Player from www.apple.com and you could probably watch it... The ending shows Guthrie pitting his knowledge of notes beyond the fretboard against IA... Go find out who won the duel!!! 8O

hey jumbo thanks for the file! these people really push the boundaries of guitar. btw I've replied to your mail :)

Guthrie's sick man... Yup, he is one of the best all-rounders, like you said.

Many have attempted to cover Vai's stuff, but according to a Bumbleforum user, Guthrie Govan and Mike Keneally are the only ones who can pull it off really well. I have not listened to Mike's stuff, might wanna try soon.

Btw, I replied to your email quite sometime ago. Do check, and inform me if there's nothing in your inbox.

You can see from the number of views to this thread, how many ppl are really interested in this.... pushing the boudaries of the guitar is just... not comtemporary... its almost sad. :(

Seriously to me they have brought guitar playing to a whole new level. Back in the 80's and early 90's It was plain shredding. Guess it died?? :D

Yeah... It's very refreshing to watch them play... And ShredCow managed to steal an idea or 2!!! Awesome to see how such a vid can influence ShredCow... :)

Ah.... erm.... well... hahaha... I never covered songs so yeah... this is the only way I learn from the pros... i just steal the idea, keep it in mind to use someday.

Hey, watch 0:21 - 0:25, notice a guy walking across the cam's view?? Is he Allan Holdsworth?

He is a Tone Merchants artist as well as Guthrie, Bbf, Rob Balducci, Chris Poland and many others.
