[TLDR] What/who I'm looking for
- In order of priority: Bass, drum, keyboards, guitar, vocals
- Preferably someone who has their own DAW and can do basic recording/production to make demos with me (I mainly use Ableton Live, but any DAW is fine really)
- Preferably someone who is not a total beginner at their chosen instrument, comfortable with playing with others
About myself
- 10+ years experience playing the guitar, on and off in recent years due to work and life commitments.
- Found myself having more free time recently to continue to pursue my hobby/dream to write and perform my own music, as a side project for now
- Have played/performed live quite a fair bit in my uni days at various school/external events and concerts, both as a guitarist and vocalist
- Dabbled in songwriting and production over the years since my uni days, took part in workshops and bootcamps organized by local labels (mainly Mandopop stuff) but never got around to publishing any of my own music
My influences and direction of music
- All-time favourites: Paramore, John Mayer, MCR Black Parade album
- Recent influences are more J-indie/alt rock/pop like Hitsujibungaku, Yorushika, Yuuri and some local bands like Woes, Subsonic Eye, motifs
- Pretty much into most kinds of pop/alt rock with shoegaze/indie elements or 2000s punk, but also willing to explore poppy stuff like city pop, indie pop etc.
- Direction wise, I hope to make something along the lines of my recent influences
