Guitar Upgrade Cost?

How much do you think this would cost (at say Standard Value or Beez)


1. Restringing (I'l provide my own strings)
2. Lowering the actions
3. Intonation+Tuning
4. Installing new pickups (2 humbuckers + 1 single coil that I'll provide)
5. Orange drop upgrade

I don't have any orange drop capacitors but they only cost like $1-$2 right?

Install Orange Drop = $25

Rough estimation....I think around $110.

How is a setup different from a full setup?

Go buy the orange drops from TYMC, $2.50 only.

Mike at SV charged me $15 for the installation of the Orange Drops, inclusive of the ODs themselves.

well im sure he can offer you a better deal , $110 is quite steep especially in the current economic situation . HAHAHA . I'd say you can get it done at around $80

It is? Well let's just say I rather pay Beez $110 for friendly and reliable service than pay some other idiot (yes, you know who you are) half that amount for an out-of-phase bridge pickup and broken selector. Plus, how can you not trust a guy who talks about fishing while soldering?

Yeah true, I go to Beez simply because Mike is ridiculously far and Malcolm is only available when I'm in school so I have little choice, but Beez's work has been excellent so far.

you cant not trust beez, he does everything in front of you, even if you say you trust him, he'd still explain everything he has done and makes sures that his service is top notch

what is a guitar setup? just changing of strings? btw, why cant you change strings on your own rather than paysing some one to put in strings for you?

we sent to trustworthy guitar techs to set up our guitar because, though it looks easy, the process when done wrong, may affect the guitar permanently. we dont trust ourselves to do simple things with such risky consequences.

restring, of course can do yourselves, but since you're paying for the setup, why not let him restring for u, at no extra charge?
