Guitar tuners

I suggest that u head down to Sinamex & get the Intellitouch clip-on chromatic (not automatic) guitar tuner.

Able to read sharp & serving me well even for drop tuning.

So all chromatic tuners are generally better than auto ones?

What 600?!? Its only 375 here in Singapore. Man! Don't jack up the price anyhow leh.. wait people don't want to buy!

just read the manual that came with the tuner la... so leceh.

Tuning guitar suddenly become so complicated............

You didn't state the model of your tuner at all.

Lemme post a question to you.

My computer spoil!!!

How to fix!!?

I'm surprised so many people know solutions to your problem when they don't even know the details.

If your computer's spoilt, state the problem and experts might know...you're telling me that if the same virus attack occurs with a Compaq computer and an Acer one, the solution would be different? I already stated my problem and people are giving me solutions, simple.

Anyway, my tuner is a Diana VAT-10.

Different tuners, different sensitivity. Different control, might need to activate certain settings to get a b/# reading. And from read all the posts, I'm guessing your tuner is not a chromatic one. Which means , you prob have to press some buttom to get it to go flat, which in standard.

For what? If your current tuner has a detune/flatten capability, which it should have since you said the LCD has a # sign, and you always play in Standard Tuning, you don't need a chromatic tuner.

Different tuners, just like anything else, have different buttons and controls and displays and everything.

If I tell you how to install a canon printer does that mean you know how to install a hp printer?

If I tell you how to cook chicken chop does that mean you know how to cook pork chop?

Ok why don't I answer your question. Just switch on the tuner, that's how it works for mine. I just switch it on and it displays the # when my tuning is sharp. Or maybe your tuner spoilt. Or maybe your's is not on that's why not showing.

Good answers based on absolutely nothing.

Ooo Ooo I know the answer:
My computer spoil!!!

How to fix!!?

If your computer's spoilt, state the problem and experts might know...

Therefore
How do you make the # appear? From the screen, I can see that there is the # sign, but I can't seem to make it appear...

Ans: state the problem and experts might know...

Do I get a cookie?

Erm, apparently, my tuner doesn't have the detune/flatten capability...or maybe I just cannot access it, haha...

theblueark: Computers are electronics, so are tuners...but food is not...so it's totally different...and besides, installing and repairing are totally different things.

DarknessFury, you said you can see the # sign on your LCD.

If so , your tuner should have the capability.

Okay, does your LCD have a "b" sign?

Anyway, press the buttons on the tuner, see if the # lights up.

I suspect you got one of them el cheapo tuners which... well... work in a primitive sort of way.

Haha...you could be right, shredcow...it came as a package with the guitar...but it was worth 20+ the last time I saw at Davis...that is if, I didn't see wrongly...

well, press some buttons and continue doing so... just tune your Low E string to slightly flat.. and see if the tuner picks it up.

Other wise, the Korg tuners are fine for a budget. 40 bucks, for a chromatic one if you want.

The best is still a strobe tuner, ala strobostomp.
