There's this music video from saosin.. the guitarist throws his guitar den it flys around him.... really cool...

Anyone one of you can do those cool stuff with the guitar like that? like.. Jumping up and down like mad while playing and stuff... I can't even headbang and play properly

Just close your eyes, utter a short prayer, and swing =P

Physics: Initial velocity of the guitar is strong enough to counter the gravitational pull of the earth, thus swinging it on an axis (your body). Since the guitar is attatched to your body, its arc is limited by the strap. Assuming your strap doesnt give way, the guitar should spin around your body and end up back where it started.

Cool trick #1: Put your guitar on the floor once you're finished with your songs, hold the cable and start swinging.

Cool one that Vai does in Crossroads is to do a glissando up the string, but his left hand isn't moving - the guitar is.

How he does this, is he frets a note (say at the first fret on B string) and holding the body of the guitar by the right hand pushes it down through the left hand so the left hand fretting finger ends up in the upper frets around 19/20th fret. The left hand stays still the whole time - only the guitar and right hand move - it looks really cool.

i usually play a les paul, so i bought a cheap strat to try it. and it crashed straight to the ground. Well... *shrugs* just a strat..
