Greetings, just wondering if anyone knows anyone that does paintwork for guitars, nothing fancy, just to plain black. let me know if you guys have any contacts or know anyone that might help.

thanks and thrash it up!

Its dam ex bro - cheapest paintjob or acceptable standard by the shop techs around $200 or so at least....

i wouldnt mind 200 though, but nothing more than that im afraid. heard that car shops do paint jobs too, heard anything about that?

metallic paint on guitar is cool =D haha

it's rather simple if u just want the body painted (i'm assuming electric guitar). just remove everything step by step from the body and spray away if u only want a single colour.

the lovelovelovelovelove is putting everything back

hahah yeah i know, but im scared to diy it and balls it up man, thats why i wanna find someone who has done it before, shop or not.

yeah bro - I used to do before .... its damm tedious... sparying is one thing, the rub out and shining part is another ... leceh

nowdays I no time or facilities to do for other ppl

thanks dmitry_a for that, will check it out. i know what the market rate is, im asking if anyone is willing to do it for 200. does it get any clearer than that? but thanks again for the replies.

THRASH!

I don't know about you guys....I'm not gonna part $300 or $200 for some paint job rather spend it on other things like change of pup or things like that.

So what did was stick a fabric over it. Here's my third guitar that I've done so far.

200-300 is ok, we cant judge a job by the price but by their craftsmanship
tetra tutor fee range from 2000-3000, depend on which nusantara mode he is on.. lolzzz

$200 is what I used to charge (for Sunburst / $150-180 for solid colours)during my last few months of doing paint jobs back then around 2005 or so .... wow.... I cud be making more $$$$ these days

but its really quite tedious ... sianz to do liao

eieio - u r rite ... workmanship important ... no point paying peanuts to get a monkey to paint your axe:mrgreen:

Any way TS .. I think Van Halen was making a joke at me (abt my "ex" price?) .. so no need to get cheesed off at him lah bro.... I met him a few times b4 and he is one of the nicest guys around

Cheerz & good luck in your paint job search ya?

***oh tetra charge $300 - not for doing the guitar - just for getting the batik material ... workmanship cost is 1 bottle of Bombay Sapphire...
