Call GC or GW. Or try to ask if ArtFriend has it.

otherwise you're mostly screwed. Try online-overseas shops.

Anyway OT abit, can we use danish oil for material finish? Kinda shocks me abit when i saw the instruction on the back of the can. It stated that cloth might self-ignited without warning.

ahhh normal lacquer and guitar lacquer the same meh?walao if liddat where to get normal lacquer ar?i need to get it by today..haha

Art friend has a whole bunch of different types. They even have glow in the dark ones.

Ark... stop giving him ideas like that!!!! :D

Oh yeah, rem to stock up on fine sandpaper to sand your finish/lacquer down.

I don't know what you call it but those hobby shops sell this sandpaper that does not use well, glass/sand bits but something else. Its normally white in colour. Expensive but gives a smoother finish.

wa swee!!if buy glow in the dark ones hor, thn my guitar will glow la!wa swee man i want!!but wont affect the guitar's tone rite?

Haha I saw the laquer when buying stuff for my pedals. Was tempted to get it to make BlackMoo's one glow in the dark. But it costs $3+ for a bottle about the size of nail polishes.

I decided against it also cos i'll have to do sanding to get the finish even. I'll stick to spray on stuff :D

There's also this one where is written on the box, "one coat = 10 coats of normal laquer" I bet that will knock your tone out, strangle it to death and bury it 10 feet under.

Talk to the people at art friend, tell them what you are planning to do, what wood it is and all that, and ask them to reccommend you. Either that or go to guitar building forums and see what brands are commonly used, then go art friend and see if they have those.

what kinda material finish u talking about???

fabric finish. Could i just apply danish oil (resin + tung oil) on top of it and get it over? (seriously doubt it, got a impression tung oil is for bare wood). I have a bottle of poly finish as well, but its not the spray type its the bottle type, if i use a brush and apply it, will it have lots of bubbles? Or should i soak the a cloth with poly and rub it over the guitar? And apply few layers and so on?

ah where do i get floral fabrics?! anyone knows? cant wait for friday to do a fabric job!

anyway what happens if i spray on barewood without having any sealer? The paint just will get struck with the pores and that it?

better not to use a paint brush
cuz u will get bubble and unsightly lines... can get all these stuff from spotlight at ps.. my advice.. just do a light finishing with tung oil, then use some spray adhesive to stick the floral fabric on..

The pores will still be visible and can feel them. Like on some unfinished fretboards. Go to Ranking or music theme and look at some of the guitars there. There's this brand that finishes without sealer, forgot what's the name.

yar know how it feels(something like rg321 right?), just wondering will there be any bad effects.

anyway fabric wun stick well if i applied any sealer or finishes, need to stick on barewood. After that need to spray sealer after that a clearcoat. Just wondering will using my can of poly will do, will try one a waste wood first :D
