Hello,

My guitar have some problems. When I connect the cables to the amps, theres no sound. So i opened up the part where you put in the cable in the guitar and found that one of the wires were disconnected (refer to the pictures below). I would like to know what is the best way (or cheapest) to connect back the wire to the metal piece. Can i DIY or must I send it to the guitar clinic.

Thank you!! =)
Dan

Hmm.

Get yourself a soldering iron, some solder and a buddy who knows how to solder electronics parts.

All you need to do is solder the wire to that bit of metal sticking out with the solder stuck on but with no wire attached (beats me why it became that way).

Soldering is fun, simple (but needs patience) and once you learn it, it's like riding a bike and you will never forget how to do it again.

if u just bought tt guitar from somewhere..then send it to the shop u bought it from..maybe u'll get a free repair  (me being cheapskate..AGAIN)

lol DIY is free, go guitar shop repair need $$$. :D

erm, u can go to any hardware store and get a soldering iron. different wattage different price.

Soldering iron.

Solder with flux.

Soldering Stand + Sponge.

Do the math.

Then, factor in, possible mistakes. Damaged joints. Damaged wires.

I don't see how DIY is going to be free.... its more costly and more inconvinient to do so, especially in the beginning.

juz borrow it from sumone..i guess its a better alternative..compared to buying..or if ur skeptical about your soldering..get a fren who is familiar with minor soldering work..
