guys. any of you can really really explain details about the function of a compressor pedal? still confused abt its function. take e boss cs-3 for example.
basically balances out your tone, so that your bass, treble and mids are all even. In other words, you wouldn't have some strings sounding louder than the others.
most compressors add sustain as well. hope this helps.
