Guitar care - Dehumidifying or Wood Drying

Hi,

It is common to deal with "wet" acoustic guitars in Singapore because of high humidity. Sometimes we wonder if those products we use for combating such wetness are effective or not. Just share in my blog, I've written an article about it. Hope it will clarify certain urban myths in relating to this area of guitar care. The article is written in parts. Currently part 1 and 2 are published in my blog and you can look forward to more topics later. Here is the link;

Agreed. Awesome post and awesome blog. My only complaint is that while you were very informative and talked about the nature of humidity, why silica gel and other dehumidifying products aren't that effective, and a method to test the effectiveness of your current dehumidifying product/routine, you still haven't wrote about HOW to actually go about dehumidifying your guitar.

Also, while your site is filled with great content, I don't think the blog format is best for you. You could easily design a much better site which is more intuitive to navigate with only a basic knowledge of CSS and HTML. With so many quality templates out there for free it wouldn't be hard to design a better site.

Upload part 3 soon please! I only have a cheapo acoustic guitar but I'm planning on buying a high end semi-hollow electric guitar soon.

I think it means that: I should use Thirsty Hippo or Silica Gel for my newly bought guitar. I have to store it in a cupboard and the room is not air-con 24hours, only air-con in the day time or rather office hours.

OK!
