Guitar Bag/Case for Strats

Hi guys, looking for suggestions for a good guitar bag/case for a Fender Stratocaster. What are the better bags?

I tried looking for Gator economy gig bags or deluxe ABS cases but couldn't find any around. Tried Yamaha Music plaza at PS, both Sweelees, the shops in Penin and the shops at selegie but there weren't much variety to see.

Hence, I would appreciate it if you guys could give me some suggestions on where are the places I can get good cushioned bags for strats either semi-hard or hard cases.

What is your budget?

Are you concerned about weight or protection?

If you are after protection (Its quite light though, around 2.5kg), go with SKB-66 they are tough as hell and for the price I think they are excellent value, around SGD180 -Sweelee

If you are going after easy portability check out

He has some nice bags, a bit pricey but in such cases, you pay for what you get as with the SkB-66

hmmm thx! But how about those gator bags?

My budget would maybe be about $100. I don't require such a crazily tough one like the SKB-66 =) cant afford it =( haha!

Personally I've tried Gator, not impressed.

Between the Gator and RDM's choices, I'd go for RDM, even though its more expensive.

You can contact empty71 on this forum. He's got the original G&G cases you might like...

If you want a hardcase and really want protection, then go for the G&G cases.

If you want a semi-hardcase and really want protection, then go for the RDM Spork.

If you want a softcase but still want protection, then go for the other RDM Gigbags.

That would be out of his budget Whitestrat as i think he has like a $100 to spare....maybe LjR91 you might wanna check out the Buy/Sell Section for fellow softie who wanna sell their cases or gig bags..

Alright! Thanks for the advice/comments guys! Will consider all suggestions =) But still I would like to keep within my budget. A little over (10+) is fine.. but i cant afford to stretch my budget even further!

hmm..zen guitar works sells maestro cases the kind wid a rectangular shape like the g&g kinds...it retails for $90 i tink,,,im using it now..it isnt half bad...

i use a RDM pro and am impressed with it.

give cherns a call. i dun think he would mind u dropping by to take a look at da bags. its quite a winner in da protection department
