GT6/8 vs POD XT live

hi guys , can anybody tell me the difference between this 2 pedals ... which is better and what is the pros and cons . also i'm playing classic rock and which is the one suits me the best in term of reliabilty, and tone and dynamics all that stuff ... i have analog pedals , but for jamming and practice purpose i think better get multi effects , more easy to bring anywhere. setup too.... hehehe ... thnx guys

Yo dude I use the Pod. It's more geared towards producing quality effects from their own amps and others. BOSS porduces sounds mainly from their own analog pedals, they don't concentrate on other pedals or amps like Ibanez Tubescreamer or Mesa/Boogie. So if u already have analog pedals from BOSS, which is mots likely, then get the Pod. It provides alternative but equally good effects as the GT-8. Its cheaper too, $545 at City Music Sale. If u get the GT-8 it'll just be deja-vu as the effects in there are simply from many of their pedals.

shouldn't you just mount your individual analog pedals onto a board
and you can carry your setup "pre setuped " already : )

cheaper then diving into a whole new multi fx
unless you need to satisfy some other urge .

having too many effects is not really good too

i would rather individual effects, but hey, i use both xt live and a seperate pedal board. works for me!

Yes, USB connectivity is available and u can record direct 2 ur com. And u can also download new effects patches from the internet every once in a while, when new patches come out. Its free too, so ur Pod will always be loaded with the latest stuff.
