Granular Synthesis is the adding of noise to sound to bring about grainness to synth tunes.
Besides that, Hi Shelving EQ could lead to a melodious ingredient to the grain. This cannot be mistaken for the lo-fi quality well intended for the 70´s sound-alike.
The only question is where is this granular synthesis most useful in and where it most apply to?
I feel that granular synthesis is the least talked about subject in Synth Techniques.
