Goodbye, Fender Highway 1...

he he... Greasebucket isn't a finish- it's the electronics circuitry...

Oh, I thought it was the finishing.. Greasebucket circuitry? What is the difference anyway?

The current one are satin finished rite?

they are going to be...

the one with the Greasebucket stickers are relatively new- this circuitry was introduced last summer only. once the revised version is effective, there will be 3 H1 versions:

1. Original
2. Greasebucket
3. Revised

yea... i think dec sales will still hav the old highway1 strats... cuz dec sales will be from sims drive rite? so old stock there yea...

if only fender had a strat styled body with a tele headstock, nope, squier doesnt count, muwahahaha im such a brand conscious freak..... very cranky, mi old familiar soft home page so diff now

pls get them to reduce the highway 1 price asap :P
i heard in the states they are now available for USD499 due to them making way for the new model.

i have never seen a clearance price tag for a particular model which is on the verge of being superseded. would be good to know if there's such an implementation...

well, i got this news from someone who is a dealer in the states and who posts on the everythingsg.com forum, since he obviously owns SGs too.

heres his quote posted recently on july15.
"most places are closing out the highway 1 Strats rght now at the new MAP of $499. I LOVE My highway 1 Strat. Get them before theyre gone! There is a new version that is coming out very soon, but the new list price on them will be $999 and they will MAP at $750."

even on fenderforum.com, some guy posted just yesterday this.
"Guys GUITAR TRADER dropped down to $499.00 on the remaining HWY-1's! "

i wonder if swee lee will have that highway 1 sale again.

i'm quite gian on a highway one strat now just for fun.

i figure the new ones will be almost the cost of an american standard so not really worth it, but if i can still score on e new one at 750, i'd take the offer up.

unfortunately, went down to swee lee and there don't seem to be anymore HOnes left. :(

the H1 & the American series (for the Nth time: there's no more 'American Standard') have different list prices. they will never match up.

anyway, if anyone knows ppl willing to sell their highway one strat s/s/s, maple, standard trem, let me know.
budget of not more than $800 :P

already posted in the buy/sell section also.
