good Guitar advanced music schools

Hi,

I have been learning around 6 months for Guitar(4 mths in Yamaha, but I have since quit....)

I know a some basics(e.g. strumming, finger plucking, barring chord etc)... I would like to learn more advanced stuff...

Does any1 knows of any good schs(except Yamaha.. Yamaha sucks) that teaches advanced stuff and not very expensive?(The CCs also not very good also as I actually also attended and completed a basic 12 lessons in Eunos CC)

Tampines Yamaha

The teacher is good but he teach a little slow to my liking...

I would actually like to continue but its is too far as I am in NTU now......

I dont think theres a very big difference between the tampines yamaha classes and private. You're talkin bout the Yamaha at TM rite?

if you are into rock and blues, u can try asking Beez at Yamaha Plaza Sing...he teaches blues and rock guitar in private..

abt 300+ I think... I spent 6 mths there.. without I feel learning anything productive

I think the good thing about private tutors is that the lessons are tailored to you. don't know about yamaha and all the other schools, but with a private tutor, the same guy who observes ur playing style can show u ur weaknesses and strengths. At the same time, private tutors can be more versatile. Most can teach u wat you wanna learn, unlike schools which most of the time have a structured syllabus to abide by. Expensive? I would think that the school is more expensive given the fact that you were there for 6 months and didn't feel that you learnt anything productive enough. :wink:
