good dream theatre songs

i love the whole "images and words" album.
dream theater songs are really tough to sing, especially the range.. but i heard that james labrie used to sing opera and study voice. his voice is incredibly powerful.

absolutely! DT would not be wat they are today without JL. i read on their forum many fans dun like JL i dun understand why, but personally, i feel he is the perfect fit, coz he has an incredible vocal range, perfect for the music style of DT!

can you imagine DT still with charlie dominici today, singing Never Enough, i think my Balls will shrink...

haha. jsu joking, mr soft, dun ban me pls...

personally i don't really like octavarium...the style has completely changed.. which is quite sad and disappointing..the style was already changing from train of thought..actually i kinda like train of thought.. but not really octavarium...i dunno?? maybe it takes time for me to get used to the new style...but now it's totally not dream theater to me..
i prefer the older albums like images and words. i think that was the best album?. how come nobody talks about 6 degrees of inner terbulence? haha quick someone say something about it...
anyway dance of eternity kinda boring..cuz the time signature keeps changing and the listener can't really feel the music.
yea just personal opinion. no hard feelings.

hey i liked charlie dominici. i find him a pleasant change from the usual labrie sound. but hell labrie is so friggin unique tt when i hear him i noe its dream theater playing. n yeah his vocal range is quite a wonder.

Retro versus the modern times... Got to have drastic measures to survive drummer_buah. I think they could have been too caught up with creating something "different from the last album" for each new release.

probably...but i kinda feel that they are they have a little metallica-megadeth and linkin park influence..although i'm a drummer...but i hear the guitar power chords and it feels a lil different...no worries..i'll get used to it soon =)
