Anyone know where I could get a pair of gloves suitable for playing the guitar with?

I got sweaty palms and my pick keeps slipping :p

playing the guitar is simple man , you don't need gloves , or fancy pick ups , or to do push ups in order to carry your guitar or get a Gibson les paul , just pick up that wooden box with strings and strum it

omg, wth gloves????
i have sweaty fingers and palms but i dont use gloves, i just wipe my sweat on my shirt inbetween songs.. if ur pick slips too easily, maybe ur just holding it wrong or not putting enough pressure.. ur supposed to be playing guitar with ur FINGERS, not gloves.. if ur pick still keeps slipping u can try those pick with rubber friction or punch holes in them..

just asking asking, are u thinking of wearing gloves for fashion while using the excuse that ur palm is sweaty and be another a7x wannabe?

why gloves? sweaty palms still can play wad.. but if you insist you can try those durian gloves they sell at comfort driving centre for motor lesson

dude u dun need gloves to play the guitar. i have sweaty palms and they are to the extreme, sumtimes my pick feels as thought its been washed. lol(that bad uh). its all in the technique of how u hold the pick.

wonder how many picks have dropped thru the sound hole of ur guitar? if u really cannot hold onto the pick, y not try fingering it? :) sounds so wrong...i meant try fingerpicking style...

You really do not need gloves to play just because you have sweaty hands...I have really sweaty hands...And by sweaty, I mean you can see water droplets on the fretboard and on the back of the neck if I have been playing long enough...And I play at home, sitting down!!!!

About the pick slippage, I use Jazz III's and they do tend to slip a little bit if you don't grip it properly...Try Tortex...They have more friction, so they'll stay in one place longer...Otherwise, no need gloves la bro....Just whack....

Cheers!

you can re-finish the guitar with towel material. So everytime you play, it absorb your sweat. Someone else has done it with Jeans material. You can do it too. It sure looks cool on a gibson LP guitar

So have you started to do 300x push up, 10km jogging, 1.5km open sea swimming and 40km biking daily train before getting your guitar?

It's not the into the soundhole problem, it's like the song sounds so crappy when you can't even play the whole thing without stoping unecessarily

never blame the guitar. the guitar is innocent. it's all about u. i think John5 can make a kapok sounds like his J5 Telecaster. i think u should stop asking ridiculous questions.

i have 1 suggestion for u, go for an operation to solve your sweaty palms problem so that u wont complain.

I have sweaty palms, yet I can play the guitar, stop whining, go play practice hard, play something good and shove it up youtube's asshole. Then maybe, just maybe, I'll stop passing you off as a lousy poser whose guitar is worth more than his playing.

why are so many pple getting worked up over this newbie?
learn to chill, people. what he does doesn't affect you.

But there are limits, and sometimes he's really pushing those.

Anyway, the only way to cure the sweaty palms problem permanently is to go for an operation.
