glamourous sky

Hi fellow drummies,

For those of you who play jrock or pop, i'm sure you have heard of glamourous sky by mika nakashima.

I have difficulty playing this song, especially the 2 bars before the first chorus. When the song has drum rolling into the chorus.

Just to double confirm. Does this song have tempo change during the song?

I have covered this song in my previous band before.
There are no tempo changes in the song. The roll before the chorus is basically the right hand keeping time on the floor tom, left hand alternating between the snare and left tom. There is syncopation at the end of each phrase of that roll as well.

Watch the live versions of this song, where Hyde plays guitar with Mika singing. You might have a better idea of the drum parts. The drummer in the movie version is not playing exactly to the drum parts in the actual song.

Honestly Dark Heart, if you did thorough research I duno WTF you posted this pointless thread for.
Someone bothers to reply you and give you something useful, you're asking for more. Seriously, there's more to drumming than getting down the exact part of chorus/pre-chorus/whatever of Glamorous Sky.

I merely offered some friendly pointers. All I meant was, one should take some ownership and initiative in learning. Don't expect people to find the links and all for you when the tips have already been given.
