Gigastudio 4 and GVI 4 were recently announced by Tascam (actually, only yesterday). The details are scanty currently, but the key features include support for 64-bit and (drum roll.....) ability to import VSTi. If the import of VSTi into Gigastudio proves stable, then all VSTi can use the kernal-level programming of Giga to achieve ultra-low latency (by bypassing Windows kernal). And depending on how they programmed it, it may also mean the ability to merge VSTi and samples together as combis. This will mean the perfect live performance tool.
But we need to wait a while for more details. I was just about to give-up on Gigastudio, but now I'll have to give it one more chance.
