Gibson SG overhaul.

I have a Gibson SG Special in ebony, and thanks to the retarded weather in singapore, all the hardware is pretty much crapped up. I was contemplating replacing everything (bridge, tuners, pickup screws) and was wondering how much this would cost. Preferably grover tuners and a tonepros bridge?
Also, the two long screw-like things under the TOM are kinda rusty, are they replaceable? The finish also has many tiny surface scratches when placed under a light source, any way to deal with these?
I would appreciate lots of help because shes my no 1 guitar and the current state pains me.
Haha.

Thanks in advance.

well... for hardware wise.. you call it overhaul due . or you can call it UPGRADE TIME...
get locking tuners man ... and shiny new hardware to beautify your axe man...
i use car polish/wax on my guitars... end result is ultra shine with baby bottom smoothness. i think can cover tiny surface scratches..

well.. personally i feel anything termed " guitar polish"
packaged by d'addario , dunlop , fender ..gibson etc.. is all complete bull.
polish is polish.. this carnauba wax thingy would probably work? ive seen car carnauba wax

not really. i think the polish by d'addario is pretty gd. its non abrasive yet when ure done applying it n start to buff theres a layer left on de guitar which protects it. but de stuff sure looks like water. not too sure about the others cos ive neva tried them. :D

btw my fren did an overhaul on his gibson sg. a literal one. he got the whole thing refinished in black. removed the paint frm the neck n had it finished in a stinger behind the headstock wylde style. had a cavity routed for a neck pickup. new grover tuners and bridge but im not sure wat de new bridge was. and had new electronics and emg-hz pickups installed. pretty neat work. :D

Why overhaul? As long as the playability is still good, there no need to refinish or change the hardware... Old guitars got that vintage mojo that sets the fire... People are paying big money to get Tom Murphy to age their new LPs and SGs, and why bother doing the reverse?

ahaha. i find it a joke to age guitars. id rather pay for a new one n let it remain new than to get sum guy to apply all tt technique to fake an 'antique' guitar. wats de point? finish checking can make the neck extremely rough n unplayable. tarnished and rusty screws can be a bane when trying to get down at the electronics. imagine a guy who has only played for 2 yrs holding a guitar which has the look of a 30yr old guitar. to me a its a joke.

haha, thats me, except mine was an old morris acoustic inherited frm mi dad, :P

I'm also thinking of changing the tuners and the TOM on my 61' Reissue. TOM probably I'll get TonePros. Tuners wise, probably Grovers locking, I feel the stock tuners doesnt keep in tune. Does anyone know where to get TonePros?
