Gibson Lp or Tune-o-matic bridge Users HERE!~

Hi guys..recently i've taken my Lp standard out and give it a total cleaning (fault on my part to neglect it fer so long) . i've taken out all the hardware which i can ..

den i realised...i screwed out the bridge and i don't know the default or proper height where the tune-o-matic is supposed to sit. Does anyone have the measurements which i can follow?

it differs from one guitar to another.

the optimum height is when the string doesnt buzz against the frets, thats about it

it also depends on what kind of action you like. there is no formula.

for mine, i should be able to see 3 lines on the screw

I suggest you bring it to a guitar tech to get it set up properly.

speaking of setting up, how much does it cost for a full set up? like intonation, string height etc

It ranges from 75 to 100 plus depending on where you go.

If you're not so fussy, guitar connection does a pretty good job. and the turn around time is quite fast.

once you get it done once, you can always do slight adjustments by reading up on how to setup.
