The first batch of guitars have arrived few days back. And all comes with Original Gibson Hardcase. Gibson Les Paul BFG + Hardcase = $1499. I feel that its quite worth it.

Any local owners review??? Wanted to place an order this few days.
Thanks

i have this guitar abt half a year back when i went to the us.personally, i deel that the sound is quite powerful, tonal coverage is also quite wide due to 1 single coil n one humbucker.but,it has nothing, everything is exposed.no truss rod cover,no lacquer.the kill switch is quite interesting though, but takes me some time to find a good use for it.overall this is a good guitar, able to satisfy your thirst for a gibson.i play this through a marshall JVM 410 head and stack with monster cables.strings changed to ernieball super slinky 0.10-0.46 RPS.without any pedals.

Wow, that's great. Thanks bro.
But i'm no pro, by the way i'm much more into jazz... Any good school to recommend in Singapore to learn guitar?

you need not go to schools.you can look for private teachers.some are quite good.you can ask around, you might get a good teacher

well..jus got my hands on mine today at swee lee... what i love the most bout tis guitar is..the weight...its as light...if nt..lighter den my edwards LP..thanks to the chambered body...

sound wise...is same like how it looks...raw and powerful...jus like aero_91 said...the pickup combination provides a wide tonal coverage and its sure to be value for money...

is cheap here implying to being worse off?

i was at swee lee today- the BFG is strictly by order basis. none were in the showroom (BB).

nope! actually means affordable. No offense to ESP, im planning on the EC soon. So its the EC Vs BFG now. ^^ However i saw the latest price tag on the EC which was about 1650. so...who knows. Have to test it eventually when i got the moolah.

the BFG received some dichotomised reception from Gibson fans in general but i received some great opinions lately on this guitar. i'm sharing it here to generate a critical discussion:

*reflect on the BFG's control layout- 3 controls/ 1 PU selector/ 1 kill switch all conveniently located in slots meant for a typical LP: production economics vs real offering...?

*that lack of truss rod cover- cool/ obscene?

*here's why the BFG is a very light guitar (it's the most chambered LP of them all):

*would you rather invest in the LP Studio version?

general reception: sounds superb but looks absurd to the uninitiated...
no offence to anyone, i own 2 Gibsons myself...

however the LP studio version dose not offer the same humbucker option on the BFG right? they only share the same neck pickup

also if not mistaken, the LP studio version doesnt have the chambered body.
so its a different beast altogether.

both the BFG & the above Studio sport a Gibson Burstbucker 3 humbucker in the bridge, the differences here:

*BFG- uncovered/ zebra finish/ direct body mount

*Studio- covered/ bracket mount

hey midnight the EC that is 1600 is the EC-1 the EC-2 cost i tink around 2k+ and it will sound different becos of the pups a P90 wldnt sound like a Humbucker wld it?correct me if im wrong

ehhh if im not wrong both ec-1 and ec-2 have both hums on it. ITs the bfg that has the p-90 (thats wat ur saying right?) im not too sure bout the price diff between a ec-1 and ec-2. Infact i cant even tell the diff between the two.
