Gibson ES335

No, the Rally doesn't go for 50... Normal price should be around 400.
I got it secondhand, banged up and everything. It's NOT a Rally. overhaul of hardware, setup, and now onto the mods.
Then a get Rally Neosound. You can try it, and also let your ears decide whether that sound is what you want.

The malay chap try it out for me at the shop...All I can says is ..it sounds like an electric guitar...I have not heard the Gibson ES335 as no shop has it...

What is a secondhand banged up? why you need to mod?

Well, you can't try a Gibson because there isn't one. Unless you find someone who already has a Gibson 335 and lets you try. Even so each piece is different and when you order, the piece that comes in may be a gem or dog.

Wah.. Like that how to buy man.. I went to sv last Sat, and they also has 1 pc of the neosound. Don't know gem or dog that pc???

Seeing that you have no qualms about putting down so much money for a Gibson ES335 just to do one song, I think putting down 400 for that Neosound is not going to be a problem for you. If you like it, buy it. Don't like, don't buy.

And if u hate it after buying it. There are always ppl like me willing to recieve a free guitar around soft (:
Just want to help share ur burden.

Many people willing to take, no one willing to give

No la bro, Giving advice is still giving =D. Xmas coming we should give him more advise, hopefully he gives us each a Rally neosound =D (Just kidding..)

ES335 is 3k+. Rally Neosound is 390, The amount you pay to mod the Neosound to get 95% ES335 sound less than a thousand.. Price of a One and only Stephen Chung guitar? Priceless
(Mastercard should pay me..)

After modding, you feel a great sense of triumph and protect it dearly, So you wont consider a 335 again lol...

My take about mod is like making out with an "Ah Gua"...no matter how chio and how good their boobs looks, the felling is just ain the same as the real thing...you feel me bro??

Nope. No offence to you but i just felt that particular post is just crap. If you dislike getting a cheaper and value for money hollowbody and then modding it to make it even better, why not just drop that bomb and get the ES335 instead? Surely you can afford it as you were considering getting a 1964 ES335 in your other post.

I'm pretty sure that modding a cheaper hollow body won't make it a ES335. So just get the the ES335 okay?

buy a 2nd hand es335. once you've learnt your song, if you fall in love with the guitar, keep it. if not, sell it.

i'm guessing your loss (if any) will be at most like buying a rally neosound then giving it away.

The thing is I have no knowledge about guitars.. So the best bet is to get one from the shop..

ok, i get it now. you're a bazillionaire who wants to spend a few thousand dollars to buy an es335, to learn to play one song: autumn leaves.

and here i was thinking that i'm a music lover :P

if that is the case, then how will buying from a shop help? the salesman will just run rings around you to get his commission on that $4k guitar he knows you might buy.
